Seperating the Free accounts from the Paid Subscribers to different servers?

Is it possible to seperate the Free accounts from the Paid Accounts to different servers? Wouldn't that speed up our webmail, and recovery processes?

From my understanding, perhaps I misunderstood...

From my understanding, perhaps I misunderstood it, say I had abc.com, would abc.com be dedicated to the email server only, or can I share that with another webhost for HTTP.
