Now that may be part of the problem. By design, when using POP it shouldn't delete the message. One has to use IMAP to get the deletion between client and server.

Yes you can. But Windows Mobile does not support IDLE natively.

There has been a few 3rd party programs to come and go. The main one being FlexMail. But it's awfully buggy in my tests.
