Webmail slow/down
Is anyone else experiencing problems??
|
Same.
Frustrated in Philly. |
All I get are "timeouts"
I cannot even get to runbox.com
More frustration with runbox.... |
Same here, down again. Its almost a weekly thing these days.

You know, I don't care about all the "bells and whistles" of runbox, I just want consistent service...

I respectfully disagree. To me the thread died because nobody from Runbox responded or offered a status. Personally, while it helps to know other users are in the same situation, and may even be entertaining at times, discussing an outage among users without Runbox's input is not all that useful.
The other reason the thread died is the database server that went offline was back up in a couple of hours. You may argue that is pretty darn good, but it doesn't help those users who reallly needed their email service during that window of downtime, like me. Of course, if Runbox had a mirrored/hot-backup infrastructure there would not have been an outage at all. But I was called crazy by my peers last time I brought that subject up, so I'll assume you all feel the same way again this time. :) Peace, Andy Kowal |
Slow again...
Speaking of consistency, the service is slow again today - 40+ seconds to send each email.
|
The same here
I'm having slow responses when I click a message to read, or to send a e-mail.
The reason I said before that all I wanted is "consistent service" is because it has not been that way these past couple of months. I can be "patient" as mentioned above, but it seems that "down-time" happens way too often. |
One of our fileservers (Greyhound), which is also the outgoing mail server, is having a slow-down. This affects file (message) access for users that have home directories there.
We're investigating now, and expect performance to normalize shortly. - Geir |
@andykowal: I can only agree to the 'mirrored/hot-backup' part of your reply. . .and: you sure don't sound crazy to me :D In fact, it makes perfect sense.
In the past, I also 'complained' about outages that were not communicated in an official way by Runboxs-staff. Again, I have to agree with you: a reply from a member of the Runbox-staff to this thread would be appropriate. @esj472: that's odd. for me, the web-interface is very fast  Also, sending and receiving mail is as fast as ever... |
Yes, it is "odd", but it also a reality for me.
