CoolGoose Email Service
Does anyone have any information (pro/con) on using coolgoose.com Email service? I just signed up for their service but their main Menu window seems to be disappearing from time to time?? Thanks! |
Then the service is also going to disappear soon .... :D
Never heard about such a service. |
Cool Goose and Others
Ya!
Checked it. Seems good. The site has a web page manager and a fairly elaborate directory. Couldn't check the agent though. Maybe the other members should check it out too. I am all for their wisdom. I'll say its a fair bet. |
I have used Coolgoose.com email before, and it seems reliable. Its not the most advanced email provider, but it has been around for a few years.
I once emailed the company, and got a response really quickly. I pointed them to these forums, so they could contribute to them. Don't know if they ever did come here though. Dan. |
I tried it out just because the name was interesting and I'd agree - not the most advanced, but not bad at all. They have a notifier that you can download, too. I haven't ried that out, but assuming it works well it's an nice feature.

Unusual name.
|
pop/imap? (Can you check your coolgoose.com with Eudora, Outlook Express, etc)
|
No pop or IMAP. But LOTS of spam...They have no kind of filter or anti-spam system.
|
No POP, no IMAP, no spam filtering... no point.
|
No, it's a very basic webmail service. But the spam doesn't arrive on its own. I mean I don't think they sell their member lists or anything. I 've had my account for a while. I don't really use it and I don't have any other addresses going there and I don't get any spam in it.

Yes, these days it's hard to keep any e-mail address without good filters and rules. Kind of reminds me how some ladies used to keep the best room in the house just for show. It was clean and perfect but you couldn't really use it. :)

As I never have heard of coolgoose.com before I visited their site to find out more. But no information about their service, excpet a few very basic points was provided.
Why is it that so many email service providers doesn't give any information except that they are a webmail service and you have to agree to their "Terms and Conditions". I tend to think it's because they have nothing to offer... Then I move move on... |
Coolgoose still lives on. It has never been down or quirky for me. It will be almost a year since I signed up and I must give it an A for reliablility. Good, basic, and speedy email.
