Telecommunications companies and ISPs face a massive increase in data storage requirements after EU lawmakers voted today to require companies to keep data for up to two years.

MEPs, the EU's directly elected assembly, voted overwhelmingly for new rules on data retention requiring companies to keep traffic and location information for a minimum of six months and a maximum of two years.
Runbox servers are in Europe correct?

Norway is not a member of EU Heartz. The new data regulations are binding only for member countries.

Aye, my bad.

I am hoping that I am not wrong here Heartz, although Norway is not a member of the EU, they do have some agreements with the EU countries. I am sure that one of the Runbox staff will correct me if I am mistaken. ;)

Assuming that I am not wrong, this might be good for business at Runbox.
